In Salisbury & Lower Merrimack:
- Lots of critical habitat, open space, and rare and endangered species
- lots of shellfishing potential
- community groups -: upsurge of interest
- local activists and municipal officials building up a coalition
- perhaps a summit in the autumn, to make an action plan and action team as was done for Great Marsh. Then public unveiling after summit.
The Merrimack Watershed Team is gone -- consisted of lots of agency people who can no longer go. The Merrimack Valley Watershed Council (NGO) imploded. They still have an office -- UMass Lowell gave them one -- but no one answres the phone.
